Last Friday, El Centro hosted an event called Carnaval. Raza and Multiculural student organizations, campus and community resources provided students with information…a perfect opportunity to explore where you want to get involved. The Resource Fair also included campus programs and units that makes a REAL difference in our experience on campus. CARNAVAL is about meeting new people, getting grounded, having some great comida/food, performances, musica and sneeking in a little dancing before the night is over! Food included Pupusas, Tamales, Agua Frescas, Duritos, Frutas, Popcorn, Ice Cream. And lots and lots of people to meet and connect with! Performances held by Grupo Folklorico Los Mejicas, Rainbow Theatre, Sabrosura and Music by DJ. Rodexx!!
Sabrosura has been preparing for this performance for so long. After countless of hours and practices, Sabrosura gave their all at that stage and danced their hearts out! We danced a hybrid that included Bachata, Cumbia, Duranguense, Guys’ Solo, Reggaeton, Punta, and Merengue.
Here’s the video from Sabrosura’s first performace!!!
Congratulations to all of you for your first performance of the year!!!
